Why does my WiFi have dead zones even though I have a router?
Standard routers are built for average homes, not for properties running multiple cameras, smart home devices, and entertainment systems at once — or for larger properties with multiple floors or dense construction. A properly designed network uses placement, additional access points, and wiring to eliminate dead zones instead of just boosting one signal.
Do I need wired connections, or is WiFi enough?
Depends on what’s running. Security cameras and streaming devices benefit significantly from wired connections for reliability, while everyday devices (phones, laptops) work fine on well-designed WiFi. We typically recommend a hybrid: wired backbone for critical systems, strong WiFi coverage for everything else.
Can my network handle cameras, smart home automation, and entertainment all at once?
Only if it’s designed to. Most dead-zone and slowdown complaints come from networks sized for basic browsing, not for multiple always-on systems. We design network capacity around everything you’re running or planning to add.
Is this only for new construction, or can you upgrade an existing network?
Both. We install in new construction and also troubleshoot and upgrade existing networks that are unreliable, slow, or weren’t designed for what’s currently connected to them.
Will I need to redo this if I add more devices later?
