Can access control integrate with my existing security cameras?

Yes. We regularly integrate PDK access control with video surveillance so you can see who used a credential, not just that one was used. If you already have a system installed by another company, we can usually integrate with it — we’ll confirm compatibility during the site assessment.

Do I need to rewire my building for access control?

Not always. Many properties can be retrofitted using existing low-voltage pathways. Older buildings or those with limited existing infrastructure may need new cabling — we’ll tell you exactly what’s needed during the design phase, before any work starts.

What’s the difference between fail-safe and fail-secure door hardware?

Fail-safe hardware unlocks automatically during a power outage or fire alarm, so people can always exit. Fail-secure hardware stays locked during a power loss, protecting what’s inside. Florida fire code dictates which type is required for which doors — we handle that compliance as part of every install, since we’re a licensed electrical contractor, not just a low-voltage installer.

Can I manage access remotely, for multiple properties?

Yes. Cloud-based systems let you grant or revoke access, view logs, and manage credentials from a phone or laptop — useful for property managers or business owners overseeing more than one location.
